The Sinamon Story
Sinamon is a Perth halal bakery built around one thing done properly, the hand rolled cinnamon bun. What started in a home kitchen now runs across four shopfronts and an online store, and every roll is still shaped by hand and baked fresh through the day.
From ten square metres on Walcott Street
Our first shop opened in October 2018 in a tiny ten square metre space at 76 Walcott Street, Mount Lawley. There was room for an oven, a counter and not much else. Perth did not seem to mind. The queues stretched down the footpath, and they taught us a habit we still keep, bake in small batches all day so nothing sits around.
Today that little shop is our evening dessert bar, and Sinamon has grown into four stores and an online kitchen serving the whole city.
What comes out of the ovens
The original roll sits beside a rotating cast of flavours, Biscoff, creme brulee, salted caramel cashew, cookies and cream and more. Around them come buttery croissants and viennoiserie, our NYC style supreme croissants, pistachio kunafa, and coffee made on our own Sinamon Blend beans. Everything in the cabinet is halal.
We also cater, mini bun platters, grazing boxes and croissant trays for weddings, office mornings and events across Perth.
The people behind the counter
Sinamon is owned and run from Perth. The people you see at the counter are the same ones rolling buns before sunrise, pulling espresso through the morning rush and packing catering boxes in the afternoon. If you have been in more than twice, they probably know your order.
